Simple Food Gourmet was born from a delicious quest for health after its founder, Loly Bergoderi, was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. She began hands-on in her home kitchen, focusing on natural ingredients while still seeking a tasty flavor. This led to the creation of exquisite gourmet breads, baked with what she describes as the magic of sourdough.
Since then, she has developed several original flavors, offering others facing similar challenges a simple and satisfying way to enjoy a more balanced, nutritious life.

Food Conscious
During the fermentation process, the enzymes in sourdough help break down gluten, reducing its presence in the final product. The result is a low glycemic index bread that doesn’t cause insulin spikes. The bread is also rich in fiber, prebiotics, and probiotics, while remaining low in carbohydrates.
Therefore, it is an ideal option for both diabetics and those suffering from Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), which is often confused with gluten intolerance.
